For those of you who didn't see the comment from Jackie Dantzler with All American Crankshaft Co. regarding my latest blog here it is...
You are so right, Phyllis. I have seen mothers turn in their seats while driving down the road to speak to, correct, argue, feed, etc. a child. So if that driver isn't paying attention and then the driver behind or coming up on them isn't paying attention the potential for horrific accidents just tripled. What is more important than the safety of the ones we love? Should be nothing...no CD, song on the radio, phone call, text message, GPS device. And when I say protecting our loved ones that includes what it would do to them if we were killed doing something ridiculous (real dangerous) in a vehicle. More to our industry.....many more serious engine failures could be lessen or reduced if the operator of that backhoe, motorgrader, tractor did not have the music in the cab so loud that he did not hear the engine sputter, ping, rattle, or begin to knock before a rod came out the side. Just my two cents worth today. Be safe out there. Jackie
Jackie's comment brought my thoughts around to how you as a member can play it safe in your businesses. And...it prompted me to ask Jackie to "Be My Guest" and write a blog for us. So...I'm extending this invitation to all of you. We've already been educated by Eric Benton with
Southeast Tractor Parts who wrote a
blog for us. So, if you are interested just drop me an email and we'll get you set up as well.
Hope you are having a great week. And...ditto what Jackie said, "Be safe out there!"
